Williams Creek National Fish Hatchery
Located in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, Williams Creek National Fish Hatchery has been raising trout since 1941. The hatchery plays a critical role in restoring the threatened Apache trout, the only trout species native exclusively to Arizona. It also supports Tribal recreational fisheries throughout Arizona and New Mexico.
Each year, the hatchery produces approximately 1.5 million fish, including Apache, rainbow, brown, and brook trout. Visitors can enjoy fish viewing, a short interpretive nature trail, birdwatching, picnic areas, and beautiful mountain scenery year-round.
