Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery
Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery has been producing trout since 1975 to support recreational fishing and conservation across the region. It is located below Wolf Creek Dam on the Cumberland River in Jamestown, Kentucky. The hatchery raises approximately one million trout each year, helping maintain healthy fisheries in Kentucky, Indiana, and other nearby states while also participating in the recovery of threatened aquatic species.
Wolf Creek is also one of the most visitor-friendly hatcheries in the National Fish Hatchery System. Guests can explore an interactive Visitor and Environmental Education Center, watch trout in the raceways, feed fish, walk nature trails, fish in Hatchery Creek, and enjoy educational exhibits designed for all ages.
